Location: Mumbai (onsite) Reporting to: Founder / Head of Operations Overview We’re looking for a detail-driven, data-curious, and creatively minded E-Commerce Manager to own every aspect of our Shopify website — from daily product management to site merchandising and performance analysis. This role sits at the intersection of operations, design, and data: you’ll be the person who ensures that our digital storefront feels beautiful, functions seamlessly, and performs intelligently. Key Responsibilities Shopify Website Management Own all backend operations of the Shopify store. Manage daily product uploads, edits, tags, pricing, collections, and inventory syncing. Oversee homepage and collection page updates — including banners, imagery, and seasonal refreshes. Liaise with photographers, designers, and content teams to ensure all assets are uploaded on time, correctly sized, and optimized. Ensure smooth functionality of apps, integrations, and checkout flow. Conduct regular audits for broken links, errors, or outdated content. Merchandising & Product Strategy Analyse Shopify data (sales, AOV, conversion, category performance) to identify trends and insights. Recommend adjustments to collections, bundles, or featured products based on performance and seasonality. Work closely with marketing to plan launches, homepage priorities, and cross-selling opportunities. Create and manage product hierarchies and naming structures for optimal user navigation. Data & Performance Analysis Use Shopify Analytics and GA4 to track conversion rates, cart abandonment, and funnel performance. Build weekly and monthly performance dashboards (by product, collection, campaign). Identify under-performing SKUs or categories and propose actionable next steps (e.g., bundling, price optimization, retargeting). Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts and overstock situations. UX & Visual Site Optimization Own the user journey — ensuring the website feels intuitive, on-brand, and conversion-focused. Partner with design to A/B test layouts, banners, and product presentation. Ensure mobile optimization and page speed performance are maintained across devices. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with the marketing, design, and operations teams on campaigns, promotions, and new product launches. Align product listings with email marketing, paid ads, and social media plans. Support customer service and fulfilment teams with accurate product and stock data. Requirements Minimum 4+ years’ experience managing a Shopify-based e-commerce store (Shopify Plus preferred). Deep understanding of Shopify backend, Liquid templates, and app integrations. Strong analytical skills with experience in Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics, or similar tools. Understanding of digital merchandising and UX-driven product presentation. Experience with image optimization, basic HTML/CSS (bonus), and SEO best practices. Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to juggle multiple product launches simultaneously. Strong communication skills and an aesthetic sensibility aligned with premium consumer brands. Nice-to-Haves Experience in premium/lifestyle retail or children’s/luxury categories. Familiarity with tools like Klaviyo, Hotjar, or Pipedrive. Ability to create simple data visualizations or dashboards.
