As an Automation Engineer at Amdocs, you will play a vital role in the design, development, modification, debugging, and maintenance of our client's software systems. You will immerse yourself in engaging with specific modules, applications, or technologies, handling sophisticated assignments throughout the software development process. Your responsibilities will include contributing to and supporting the automation of various parts of infrastructure and deployment systems. You will work towards improving and streamlining processes to enable engineering and operations teams to work more efficiently. Collaborating with Product/Account Development teams, you will drive automation of Configuration Management, Build, Release, Deployment, and Monitoring processes, while providing instructions on the developed tools to the team. You will work closely with IT and Development to ensure seamless integration and continuity of the code, showcasing a holistic view of the working environments. Supporting engineering and operations teams in meeting infrastructure requirements will be a key aspect of your role. Additionally, you will provide professional support for developed automations, respond to incidents proactively to prevent system outages, and ensure environment availability to meet SLAs. Staying abreast of industry best practices, you will contribute ideas for improvements in DevOps practices and innovate through automation to enable standard deployable units of infrastructure across multiple environments until production. You will also be responsible for adopting and implementing new technology in the account/product life cycle. To excel in this role, you should have experience in CI/CD and MS domains, familiarity with configuration management and automation tools, continuous-integration tools, and continuous deployment knowledge on popular cloud computing platforms. Script development experience, IT experience in common languages, hands-on experience in build, release, deployment, and monitoring of cloud-based scalable distributed systems, and proficiency in RedHat or other Linux distributions are essential. Additionally, experience working in an agile development environment and troubleshooting key life cycle management tools are required.
