We are looking for Linux/Veritas and LTO Backup Operators to support the implementation and management of backup systems for a 15-month project. The role will involve working with Veritas NetBackup and LTO tape systems for backup operations, troubleshooting, and disaster recovery. The resource will initially be based in Chennai during implementation, followed by Knowledge Transfer (KT) to Mumbai resources for the remaining project duration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and operate Veritas NetBackup on Linux/Unix systems for backup and restore operations.
• Handle LTO tape systems, including tape rotation, backup jobs, and media management.
• Perform disaster recovery (DR) operations and ensure data integrity in backup processes.
• Troubleshoot backup issues and escalate as needed.
• Provide Knowledge Transfer (KT) to Mumbai resources post-implementation.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in Linux/Veritas NetBackup operations and LTO backup systems.
• Strong knowledge of backup and restore processes, including troubleshooting.
• Hands-on experience in Linux/Unix environments and command-line tools.
• Strong communication skills for Knowledge Transfer and coordination across teams.

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to work onsite in Chennai for the first 2-3 months.
• Must be willing to relocate to Mumbai for the remaining project duration (12-13 months).
• Immediate joiners or candidates with short notice period preferred.
