Desired Candidate Profile:

• 3 to 7 years of relevant hands-on Linux administration experience
  
• Must have worked in a production server environment or data center setup
  
• Familiarity with Linux security patching, LVM, routing, and user management
  
• Exposure to Exacc, Exadata, Kubernetes, and virtualization platforms is preferred
  
• Good communication and coordination skills for cross-team collaboration (DC, NOC, field engineers)
  
• Proactive approach towards issue diagnosis and resolution

• LVM creation & management
  
• Server patching (Linux, Exacc, Kubernetes)
  
• ServiceNow (SR/Case ID management)
  
• Networking basics, port checks, and routing
  
• Kubernetes: pod restarts, replicas scaling
  
• Exadata, Exacc OS & Infra patching
  
• Mount points, NFS/ZFS, Solaris fault clearing
  
• Server reboot via ILOM
  
• Qualys agent & SIEM configuration
  
• VM migration (PCC) and patching
  
• Hardware replacement coordination (HDD, DIMM, PCIe, IB switches)
  
• Monitoring tool usage (Exawatcher, Oswatcher)
  
• Sneep installation and health monitoring (Exadata, NCB)
  

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform routine and emergency Linux server troubleshooting
  
• Manage patching schedules, remediation, and vulnerability fixes
  
• Work closely with DC/NOC teams for port and network-related issues
  
• Create mount points, configure LVM, and assist in backup/mounting procedures
  
• Coordinate with field engineers for hardware replacements and perform post-checks
  
• Reset user passwords, unlock accounts, and configure password-less logins
  
• Handle Kubernetes pods/replica adjustments as part of patching
  
• Monitor systems using tools like Oswatcher, Exawatcher
  
• Perform baseline remediation and hardening based on vulnerability assessments
  
• Manage ticket lifecycle via ServiceNow (SR creation, follow-up, data submission)
