Job Description

As an Embedded Software Engineer, your role will involve developing, testing, and debugging software in an embedded platform. Your key responsibilities will include: - Very good programming skills in C language or C++ language - Possessing skills in one or more of the following areas: - Microcontroller based firmware development - Implementing software based on hardware, software, or protocol reference manuals - Understanding concepts of RTOS, microprocessors, interrupts, assembly instructions, startup code, memory map, etc. - Linux Porting / Device Driver development - Setting up Linux kernel or BSP build environments - Writing Linux kernel space code - Understanding Kernel build environment, Linux Device Driver development, and common Kernel functions - Linux user space development - Developing complex software with multiple processes, synchronization, and inter-process communication - Knowledge of APIs related to file I/O, memory management, process management, signal handling - Silicon Validation - Deriving test cases from hardware specifications - Developing validation software - Debugging hardware in lab bench, FPGA, or simulation In your projects, you may be involved in: - Designing, developing, testing, and debugging driver or application software for a microcontroller or Linux platform - Defining, developing, testing, and debugging applications to validate the functionality of hardware or existing embedded software.
