Experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux servers. Perform System Maintenance. Help tune performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure. Troubleshoot problems with deployed servers or perform new deployments from scratch. Both troubleshooting and bootstrapping require proper understanding of inter-dependencies between various services. Ability to do Root cause analysis, Problem, Change & Incident Management. Ability to understand client requirements, suggest possible issues with current setup, present new architectures, migrate from existing setup to new setup with minimum downtime and no loss of data is critical. In depth knowledge in Cluster. In depth knowledge on : LVM, NFS, Samba, NTP, ACL Proficient with network tools such as iptables, Linux IPVS, iperf, etc. In depth knowledge in SuSE Manager / REDHAT Satellite server. Should able to implement best practices, hardening. Security & Disaster recovery procedures. Create, Delete and modify user and groups. Providing accessing through PAM tool. Familiarity with the fundamentals of Linux scripting languages. Utilize Linux scripting (Bash etc.) to optimize and automate system administrator tasks. Knowledge on Data Center setup and architecture Experience to work with multiple vendors for operations/projects. Knowledge on monitoring tools. Preferred to have knowledge on tools like splunk , Nagios, site 24*7 etc. Maintain inventory updates of system & EOS / EOL system in centralized inventory and management systems. Ensures data/media recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
