We are looking for Design Engineer (Electrical) to join our team for an EPC substation projects. Job Profile: Engineering EPC Projects (EHV GIS/AIS Substation) Position: Engineer / Senior Engineer Department: Engineering & Construction Location: Hyderabad (Gachibowli) Key Responsibilities: Detailed engineering of EHV GIS/AIS Substations, Equipment layout preparations, earthing system design, DSLP system design, lighting system design, Battery Design, LT distribution system for substations etc. Preparation of BOQ for procurement of materials. Understanding the requirements of firefighting & fire alarm systems of the substations, reviewing and finalization of technical documents of the system. Preparation power and control cable schedule. Technical evaluation of all the substation equipment and coordination with procurement team for placement of Purchase orders. Coordination with vendors for vendor drawing submission and review of vendor drawings Coordination with clients for drawing approvals. Coordinating the material inspections with clients and vendors. Coordination with execution team at project site for the engineering clarifications and filed changes. Technical support to tendering team, preparation of overall equipment layouts, Lot item BOQ and evaluation of tender stage offers. Studying and understanding of technical specifications and scope of the projects and raising the technical clarifications. Clear Understanding of Indian and international standards. As an Electrical Design Lead based in Jagiroad, Assam, your primary responsibility will be to oversee the specification, data sheet, and sizing of electrical equipment. You will be required to create SLDs and schematic diagrams, prepare load lists, conduct electrical calculations, develop cable schedules, and design electrical layouts. Additionally, your role will involve managing inquiry and purchase requisitions, reviewing vendor offers, and coordinating with various disciplines. You will play a crucial role in reviewing ITT documents, raising technical queries, and carrying out FEED verification activities to ensure the adequacy of engineered equipment. Your expertise will be crucial in issuing inquiry requisitions, reviewing vendor offers, and preparing estimates for various components like bill of quantities, material cost, man-hours, and software cost. Furthermore, you will provide engineering input to proposals, prepare technical queries, and analyze technical bids. Your involvement in reviewing contract requirements, organizing technical document registers, and resolving discrepancies will be essential for project execution. Your responsibilities will also include checking design guidelines, preparing single-line diagrams, and conducting detailed calculations for electrical equipment. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 14 years of experience in designing, reviewing, and coordinating electrical systems in sectors such as infrastructure, industrial, FAB, semiconductor, data centers, and pharmaceuticals. Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, REVIT, ETAP, SEL, and other lighting software is required. A degree in BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech in Electrical or Electronics is essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in designing electrical systems for manufacturing or process plants, particularly in the semiconductor industry, is highly preferred. Knowledge of 220 KV GIS, HV/MV/LV systems, VFD, UPS, DRUPS, and substation automation systems will be advantageous for this role.
