Lighting and Sound Technician

As a skilled and reliable Sound Technician, you will be responsible for managing audio equipment for various school events, performances, and day-to-day activities. Your role will involve ensuring clear and balanced sound for events ranging from morning assemblies to stage productions. Your keen ear for great sound and ability to work behind the scenes to make events run smoothly will be crucial in excelling in this role. Your key responsibilities will include: - Setting up and operating audio equipment for school events, assemblies, and performances. This involves arranging microphones, speakers, and soundboards, adjusting levels as needed, and troubleshooting issues such as distortion, feedback, or unexpected silence. - Maintaining and troubleshooting equipment by conducting routine checks, performing maintenance tasks, and promptly addressing technical problems to prevent disruptions. Additionally, you will be responsible for organizing and storing equipment properly after each use. - Supporting school events and performances by collaborating with teachers, event coordinators, and student performers to understand their sound requirements. You will assist with rehearsals and live events to ensure seamless audio and provide guidance on using microphones and other audio tools. - Providing classroom and AV support by assisting in setting up and maintaining sound systems in classrooms and supporting teachers with audio setups for lessons, presentations, or online classes. - Adhering to safety and school policies to ensure the safe use of equipment and compliance with school guidelines. It is essential to stay updated on best practices for electrical and sound safety.
