Role & responsibilities 8+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development with 6+ years specifically in Liferay . Proven expertise in architecting and delivering Liferay-based solutions (including DXP). In-depth experience with Liferay hooks, EXT plugins, service builder , and custom portlet development. Hands-on experience with Liferay deployment architecture , performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Strong command of Spring, Hibernate, RESTful Web Services . Proficiency in Build Tools (Ant/Maven/Gradle) and CI/CD tools . Strong knowledge of OOP principles , design patterns, and modular application architecture . Experience in version control systems like Git/SVN and development tools like Eclipse/IntelliJ . Good to Have: Experience designing and implementing Liferay Themes, Layouts, and Fragments . Experience with Oracle or other relational databases . Strong understanding of DevOps practices , including Jenkins, JUnit, and automated testing strategies. Prior experience working in distributed teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies. Ability to guide teams on solution architecture, best practices , and coding standards . Capacity planning and effort estimation experience for large-scale Liferay implementations. Key Responsibilities: Lead the architectural design and technical roadmap for Liferay-based solutions. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers and junior architects. Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to transform requirements into robust, scalable architecture. Drive the installation, configuration, and optimization of Liferay infrastructure. Oversee the development of custom portlets, hooks, and integrations using Liferay SDK. Ensure adherence to security, scalability, and performance standards . Develop solution blueprints , technical specifications, and high-level design documents. Stay updated with latest Liferay features, tools , and industry trends to propose innovative solutions. Eligibility & Traits: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a proactive attitude.
