Join us as a Principal Engineer in India, where all normal working days must be carried out. This challenging role will involve designing and engineering software with a focus on customer or user experience. You will play a key role in contributing to our architecture, design, and engineering center of excellence to enhance the banks overall software engineering capability. As a Principal Engineer, you will have the opportunity to build and leverage relationships, as well as enhance your technical skills. This role is offered at the vice president level. Your responsibilities will include creating exceptional customer outcomes through engineering and innovative solutions that address existing and new challenges. You will work closely with software engineers to prototype innovative ideas and collaborate with domain and enterprise architects to validate and incorporate relevant architectures. Additionally, you will design and develop software with a strong emphasis on automating build, test, and deployment activities while promoting the discipline of software engineering across the organization. You will also be responsible for defining, creating, and overseeing engineering and design solutions with a focus on automation, simplification, resilience, security, performance, scalability, and reusability. Collaborating within a platform or feature team, you will design and engineer complex software, scripts, and tools to facilitate the delivery of bank platforms, applications, and services. Furthermore, you will define architecture models and roadmaps of application and software components to meet business and technical requirements, ensuring common usability across products and domains. Your role will involve designing, producing, testing, and implementing working code, applying Agile methods in software development using DevOps techniques. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 12 years of experience in software engineering, software or database design and architecture, and working within a DevOps and Agile framework. It is essential to possess an expert understanding of the latest market trends, technologies, and tools, along with proven experience in implementing programming best practices focusing on scalability, automation, virtualization, optimization, availability, and performance. Additionally, you should have a strong background in leading software development teams, familiarity with Kotlin, Jetpack compose, Hilt, Jetpack libraries, and experience in designing white-labeled modular apps with clean architecture using MVI and MVVM. Your ability to quickly understand and translate product and business requirements into technical solutions, along with experience in working with code repositories, bug tracking tools, and wikis, will be valuable in this role.,
