Role & responsibilities Design, configure, and maintain document templates, correspondence packages, and statement layouts using OpenText xPression Develop personalized communications such as policy contracts, endorsements, lapse notices, billing statements, and claim letters Integrate xPression with policy administration systems (e.g., ALIP, LifeComm, V3), CRM platforms, and external data sources Utilize xDesign, Composer, or xAdmin for template versioning, rule-based logic, and production-ready output Implement conditional logic and dynamic content using XML, XSLT, and scripting within templates Design and test data maps and control files to link policy/claim data to document layouts Collaborate with business teams to meet regulatory compliance (e.g., NAIC, state-specific notice formats) Automate correspondence generation as part of batch jobs, on-demand triggers, or workflow steps Execute functional, visual, and regression tests on generated documents and templates Participate in xPression deployment activities, QA validation, and production issue resolution Preferred candidate profile 5 to 12 years of total IT experience with at least 3+ years of direct experience using OpenText xPression Hands-on experience in template development, data mapping, testing, or output management Strong understanding of L&A policy lifecycle correspondence (e.g., issue, lapse, billing, claim) Familiarity with xPression modules: xDesign, xAdmin, xPresso for Word, Composer, Content Author Proficiency with XML, XSLT, and basic scripting for dynamic layout control Experience integrating xPression with policy admin systems, workflow engines, or document repositories Understanding of PDF, AFP, PCL, and print stream formats Familiarity with tools like JIRA, ALM, Postman, and version control systems Knowledge of compliance requirements and audit-ready correspondence practices
