Location: Rajsamand, Rajasthan Department: Ophthalmology Employment Type: Full-time Experience Required: Minimum 2-5 years (Freshers with strong clinical skills may also apply) Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive eye examinations including vision tests, slit-lamp evaluations, fundus examinations, and tonometry. Diagnose and treat a wide range of eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, infections, and injuries. Perform ophthalmic surgeries such as cataract extraction, intraocular lens implantation, pterygium excision, and minor procedures under topical/local anesthesia. Prescribe corrective lenses and medications as required. Manage pre-operative and post-operative care of patients undergoing eye surgeries. Provide emergency eye care and manage trauma cases efficiently. Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records in the hospitals EMR system. Collaborate with optometrists, nurses, and technicians to ensure coordinated patient care. Participate in community eye screening camps, awareness programs, and school vision checks as needed. Guide junior doctors, medical officers, and support staff in clinical best practices. Stay updated with the latest advancements in ophthalmology and attend CMEs/conferences periodically. Key Skills & Competencies: Proficient in diagnostic techniques and ophthalmic equipment (OCT, Fundus camera, A-scan, B-scan, Auto Refractor, etc.) Surgical competence in cataract surgeries (preferably SICS/Phacoemulsification) Strong communication and patient counseling skills Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team environment Compassionate and ethical approach towards patient care Educational Qualifications: MBBS + MS/MD/DNB in Ophthalmology from a recognized institution Valid registration with Medical Council of India.
