Position: Technologist Hydrogen Technology Location: Navi Mumbai Job Accountabilities Process & quality monitoring for respective technology plants Identify and analyse deviations Perform root cause analysis Propose corrective action and track the status of process improvement Identify opportunities for profit improvement Identify opportunities for product quality enhancement Process design calculations for the improvement schemes Develop process design package using appropriate tools Participate in commercial plant trials Understand and evaluate basic engineering design documents Participate in plant performance audits as per set guidelines Participate in Critical PHAs and turnaround activities of the related plants Validate MoCs to ensure specified standards and codes are followed in calculations Support preparation of stage gate-2 and 3 document for Capital projects Participate in HAZOP of new projects Validate equipment data sheets prepared by engineering contractor Contribute to derive value from technology network Skill & Competencies Analytical ability for problem solving Programming exposure Knowledge of chemical engineering and process technology Ability to plan / discuss results and network under the guidance of a senior colleagues Process design calculations at Skill level Use of process calculation templates at Skill level Simulation skills Use of Six sigma for problem solving Good communication skills Leadership quality with management skills Result Orientation Education Required BE/B Tech in Chemical Engineering from a reputed institute Experience Required 8 years & Above of Relevant experience. Lead the technology input into the root cause analysis of complex process/engineering issues. Define improvements and upgrades in existing processes / equipment / technologies to reach higher capacities, higher process efficiencies. Identify, justify and prioritize plant improvements for PIOs, CAPEX, REVAMP projects and support its implementation. Review process engineering documents. Technology / catalyst / chemicals / additives / fuels evaluation. Audit and benchmark plant/ product / energy performance. Ensure achievement of set milestones for pilot / scale up studied. Anticipate constraints / trends in technology and product application range and review and recommend alternatives for implementation. Participate in commercial plant trial. Develop, validate, customize & maintain simulation / APC models. Preparation of final technology comparison reports. Participate in PSM activities. To coach/mentor and support the on-boarding and development of the GETs (technology) Skill & Competencies Has a thorough knowledge of chemical engineering, codes and standards, and of process technology in respective domain. Works independently, takes independent actions on technical issues within the field of expertise. Actively communicate and network in own plant, site, with project team(s) and technology network, makes expert contributions at meetings within RIL: networks and influences colleagues across a broader range of disciplines and department/project teams.
