Licensed Watch Engineer - Training Ship Golden Bear

As a Licensed Watch Engineer (LWE) aboard the Training Ship Golden Bear for the 2026 Summer Sea Term, you will report directly to the Chief Engineer and fulfill various responsibilities, including participating in drills, overseeing assistant watch engineers, and managing various watches during the voyage. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and execute engine, plumbing, and electrical work for maintenance and upkeep of the training ship plant and housing facilities. - Ensure maintenance and repairs are in compliance with USCG and ABS standards. - Maintain accurate shipboard maintenance records. Qualifications Required: - Knowledge and experience in engine department operations. - Possession of an Unlimited U.S. Coast Guard motor license. - All current STCW endorsements, including an active medical certificate valid for STCW. - Possession of a valid TWIC card and passport. In terms of compensation, the anticipated salary range for this position is $8,500 - $9,000 per month, based on the selected individual's background and relevant experience.
