Licensed Watch Engineer

You will sail and serve aboard the Training Ship Golden Bear as a Licensed Watch Engineer for the 2026 Summer Sea Term. Reporting directly to the Chief Engineer, you will be responsible for various watches, participating in drills, and supervising assistant watch engineers in their duties. **Key Responsibilities:** - Knowledge and experience in an engine department with planning, and performing engine, plumbing, and electrical work for the maintenance and upkeep of the training ship plant and housing facilities. - Knowledge and experience with maintenance and repairs required for compliance with USCG and ABS standards. - Knowledge of maintaining accurate shipboard maintenance records. **Qualifications Required:** - Unlimited U.S. Coast Guard motor license - All current STCW endorsements including an active medical certificate valid for STCW - Valid TWIC card - Valid Passport The anticipated hiring range for this role is $8,500 - $9,000 per month, based on background and relevant years of experience.
