About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and organized Library Assistant to support the daily operations of our institutional library. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, student-friendly, and able to manage library resources efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist students, faculty, and staff in locating books and learning resources
• Issue, renew, and return books using the library management system
• Organize, label, and maintain books, journals, and digital resources
• Manage the circulation desk and maintain accurate records
• Support cataloguing, shelving, and stock verification
• Maintain a quiet and welcoming library environment
• Assist in updating inventory, preparing reports, and coordinating library activities
• Guide students on library rules and resource usage
• Coordinate with the librarian for procurement and maintenance of learning materials

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree & MLISC
• Basic computer skills (MS Office, email, data entry)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to organize materials and manage multiple tasks

Preferred Skills

• Experience in library operations or educational institutions (added advantage)
• Familiarity with library management software (optional)
• Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
• Student-friendly attitude and customer service orientation

Work Environment

• Campus-based role requiring interaction with students and faculty
• Requires organizing physical books and managing circulation desk operations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹23,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
