Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and organized Librarian to manage our library’s daily operations, maintain resources, and support students and staff in accessing information efficiently. The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for books and learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the library’s collection, including books, journals, digital resources, and reference materials.
• Assist students, teachers, and visitors in locating and using library resources.
• Organize and maintain an efficient cataloguing and indexing system.
• Handle book issuance, returns, and membership records.
• Maintain a quiet, safe, and conducive library environment.
• Update inventory and maintain accurate documentation of library assets.
• Plan and support literacy or reading activities, displays, and events.
• Ensure proper upkeep of library equipment and reading spaces.
• Coordinate with academic staff for resource requirements.
• Enforce library policies and ensure compliance with rules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree (Library Science preferred but not mandatory).
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in library management or administration.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and documentation abilities.
• Proficiency in basic computer operations and library management software (added advantage).
• Passion for reading and helping others access information.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹28,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
