Job Title: Business Development Associate Location : Chennai (Travel-based role) Department : Sales & Business Development Reporting To : Sr. Project Manager / Business Development Manager Experience : 1–3 years (preferably in EdTech or B2B Higher Education Sales) Qualification : BE/BTech (Engineering); MBA is a plus Role Summary We are seeking a dynamic, self-driven Business Development Associate to join our mission at LearnEngg – shaping the future of technical education. The ideal candidate will be responsible for visiting institutions across India, engaging with decision-makers including Principals, Vice-Chancellors, and Department Heads, and promoting our visual learning solutions and virtual labs. This is an individual contributor role that involves extensive travel, client engagement, lead generation, and closure of B2B deals, especially in the Higher Education and Government sectors. Key Responsibilities Conduct in-person visits to Polytechnics, Engineering Colleges and government organizations to present LearnEngg’s offerings. Represent LearnEngg at conferences, expos, and government meetings to build brand awareness and identify opportunities. Deliver impactful presentations and product demos to key stakeholders. Build and manage a sales pipeline: from lead generation to deal closure. Own the entire sales cycle – lead qualification, proposal preparation, negotiation, and revenue conversion. Exposure to Digital Marketing and can assist planning and executing campaigns. Maintain timely and accurate records on CRM and reporting tools. Collaborate with the internal team to ensure smooth onboarding and implementation post-sale. Key Requirements Willingness to travel across India . Excellent communication skills in English, Tamil, and Hindi . Other regional languages are a bonus. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills to deal with senior stakeholders. Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools . Proven ability to work independently, manage time, and deliver results. Prior experience in EdTech / B2B Sales in the Higher Education sector is highly desirable. Preferred Qualifications BE/BTech in Engineering is mandatory. MBA (Marketing/Sales/EdTech) is an added advantage. Prior exposure to EdTech in B2B Higher education is a plus.
