As a seasoned Director - Technical PMO, you will be responsible for establishing and leading the Project Management Office (PMO) in India. Your role will involve driving enterprise-wide project governance, Agile transformation, and portfolio management to ensure strategic alignment and successful execution of key initiatives. An ideal candidate for this position will have a strong background in Agile methodologies and a proven track record in enhancing Agile maturity across organizations. You will play a crucial role in executing the Global Strategy set forth by the head of PMO. Your key responsibilities will include defining and implementing a PMO framework that balances traditional project governance with Agile principles, driving Agile transformation across the organization, and establishing metrics and reporting mechanisms to track project and program performance. You will assess the current Agile maturity level of teams, coach and mentor project teams and leadership on Agile best practices, and foster a culture of Agile mindset and Lean thinking. In addition, you will lead a portfolio of strategic programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives, resource optimization, and risk mitigation. You will develop Agile portfolio management strategies, oversee capacity planning and financial management, and implement communication strategies to enhance transparency and stakeholder engagement in project outcomes. You will also optimize project delivery models, promote the adoption of Agile tools, and establish a continuous improvement framework to refine processes and enhance team productivity. To qualify for this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field, with an MBA or Agile certifications (SAFe, CSM, PMI-ACP) considered a plus. You should have at least 12 years of experience in project/program management, with a minimum of 5 years in PMO leadership and Agile transformation roles. Strong understanding of Agile frameworks, leadership skills, change management abilities, and experience in scaling Agile teams and implementing Agile governance are essential.
