As a Heavy Fabrication Fitter, your primary responsibilities will include: Having knowledge about basic EHS guidelines, environmental aspects, and risks related to inspection activities on machines and during assembly. Interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine fitting requirements. Assembling and fitting metal parts by aligning, grinding, and adjusting components to ensure a proper fit. Marking, measuring, and cutting materials accurately before assembly. Utilizing hand tools, power tools, gas cutting, grinders, drills, and fitting equipment. Assisting in welding preparation and ensuring correct positioning of parts before welding. Inspecting assembled components for defects or misalignment and making necessary adjustments. Collaborating with fabrication and welding teams to meet project deadlines. Maintaining tools and equipment in good working order. Operating grinding machines to prepare chamfering of parts. Following lean approaches like 5s, TPM, Kaizen, etc., and maintaining a safe and clean workplace. Approaching daily work with continuous improvement in mind, aiming to reduce cycle time, improve machine availability and efficiency, and lower operating costs. Adhering to all safety protocols and ensuring a clean, organized work area. Qualifications: ITI fitter / Diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship is preferred. Proven experience as a Heavy Fabrication Fitter. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Skills in measuring, marking, grinding, gas cutting, and fitting metal parts. Competency with hand and power tools. Good mechanical aptitude and physical stamina. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Knowledge of safety procedures in a fabrication or workshop environment. Preferred Skills: 5 to 8 years of experience in Heavy fabrication or Pressure Vessel Fabrication. Familiarity with quality control processes. Strong communication and teamwork skills.,
