Job Title : AVP, Data and Enterprise Engineering We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Data and Enterprise Engineering to lead our Data Management and Enterprise Engineering team and oversee client discussions and proposals involving the cloud. The ideal candidate should have a strong engineering background with proficiency in software application delivery and a proven track record in data management. Technical areas Data Management : Understand data ecosystem data strategy aligning with business goals, data governance, quality, medallion architecture, and so on Oversee the design and implementation of modern data platforms Cloud Services and Infrastructure : Manage proposals and projects involving cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Ensure the efficient and secure integration of cloud services with existing data systems Optimize cloud-based data storage and processing solutions for performance and cost-effectiveness Software Engineering Project Delivery : Leverage engineering expertise to oversee the delivery of enterprise software projects for global customers Leadership areas Team Management and Capability Building : Lead and mentor a team of data engineers, analysts and scientists. Provide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to team members. Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment. Build capability within organizations such as building a FinOps competency as an example Be a champion of continuous learning and professional growth Hiring and Retention Strategy : Develop and implement effective hiring and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent Conduct interviews, evaluate candidates, and make hiring decisions Implement initiatives to enhance employee satisfaction and reduce turnover Set up career growth plans for team members to support their professional development and long-term retention Business growth Proposals and contracts : Lead the development and management of Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Statements of Work (SOWs) for data management projects. Ensure all proposals and contracts meet organizational standards and client requirements. Stakeholder Collaboration : Internal and external stakeholder management is required for various initiatives Thought Leadership: Demonstrate thought leadership in the field of data and AI Be active in the community through social media, events and conferences, etc. Required Skills and Qualifications : Technology leader with an engineering background and proven experience in leading data-driven solutions Experience in S ervice industry is a must (managing proposals, RFPs, SOWs, utilization management, etc.). Exposure to consulting is nice to have. Proficiency with one of the cloud service providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) Excellent understanding of data ecosystem including MDM, data governance, dq, data architecture, data observability, and data consumption (analytics/ ai/ data democratization) Understanding of enterprise architecture , product & platform engineering Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with growth mindset Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience in developing hiring and retention strategies, including setting up career growth plans, Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
