Description
We are actively searching for a highly skilled and experienced Lead System Engineer specializing in Microsoft Azure to join our dynamic team. As a key technical leader, you will be responsible for driving the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud solutions, ensuring fault tolerance, high availability, scalability, and security. This role demands hands-on expertise in Azure infrastructure, DevOps practices, and automation, combined with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement. Responsibilities Ensure the design, implementation, and maintenance of Azure infrastructure is fault tolerant, highly available, scalable, and secure Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines with automated build and test systems Manage production deployments with various deployment strategies Employ Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate Azure infrastructure and platform deployments Use configuration management tools to automate system configurations Apply microservices architecture concepts and best practices Collaborate with application development teams to align requirements, schedules, and activities Conduct proofs of concept (POCs) to validate the feasibility of proposed designs and technologies Address system issues, proactively managing challenges with a continuous improvement mindset Acclimate quickly to new services and technologies within the environment Requirements 8 to 12 years of experience in Azure Cloud environments Proficiency in DevOps CI/CD tools and practices Extensive experience in Linux and Windows Administration Expertise in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Shell, and Unix scripting Knowledge of YAML scripting and ARM templates Proficiency in Terraform modules for infrastructure automation Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, and Kubernetes Strong understanding of microservices architecture and best practices Experience in automating infrastructure and platform deployments with IaC tools Demonstrated ability to design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available solutions on Azure Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges B2+ English proficiency level We offer Opportunity to work on technical challenges that may impact across geographies Vast opportunities for self-development: online university, knowledge sharing opportunities globally, learning opportunities through external certifications Opportunity to share your ideas on international platforms Sponsored Tech Talks & Hackathons Unlimited access to LinkedIn learning solutions Possibility to relocate to any EPAM office for short and long-term projects Focused individual development Benefit package: Health benefits Retirement benefits Paid time off Flexible benefits Forums to explore beyond work passion (CSR, photography, painting, sports, etc)
