Role Overview: As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Card Services, you play an essential role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Your responsibilities include executing software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with a focus on innovative approaches and creating secure and high-quality production code. Additionally, you are responsible for producing architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and contributing to continuous improvement through data analysis and visualization. Key Responsibilities: - Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with innovative approaches - Create secure and high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously - Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure design constraints are met - Gather, analyze, synthesize, and develop visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets - Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture - Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and explore new and emerging technologies - Foster a team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect Qualifications Required: - Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and a minimum of 10 years of applied experience - Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability - Proven experience as a Mainframe Developer with expertise in COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, CICS, MQ, and SQL - Experience with ChangeMan or similar version control tools - Proficiency in coding in one or more languages - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities - Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with modern programming languages and database querying languages - Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle - Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security - Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) Role Overview: As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Card Services, you play an essential role in an agile team dedicated to enhancing, building, and delivering trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner.
