Lead Software Engineer - Cloud , Java / Python

As the Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorgan Chase in the Integrated Engineering Portal Team (IEP) under the Corporate Technology Office Division, you will oversee multiple teams and supervise day-to-day implementation activities. It will be your responsibility to identify and escalate issues, ensuring that your teams" work complies with standards, business requirements, and best practices. Your key responsibilities will include providing guidance to your team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities. You will set the overall expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration. Furthermore, you will anticipate dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications aligned with business requirements. Managing stakeholder relationships and ensuring work adherence to compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements will also be part of your role. Additionally, creating a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect among team members will be a key focus area. To excel in this role, you should possess formal training or certification in Cloud concepts with at least 5 years of applied experience. Your experience in Cloud (public or private cloud) along with proficiency in any programming language (such as Java, JavaScript, or Python) will be essential. Previous experience in leading technology projects, managing technologists, and proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods is required. Moreover, a strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle, agile methodologies like CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security is crucial. An in-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and its IT systems, practical cloud-native experience, and a background in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields are preferred qualifications.
