Lead Site Reliability Engineer - Java

You are an experienced and dynamic Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Lead with 8-12 years of experience, responsible for overseeing the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical systems at LANDMARK GROUP. In this role, you will establish and implement SRE practices, lead a team of engineers, and drive automation, monitoring, and incident response strategies to maintain high-performing, reliable systems. Your key responsibilities will include leading efforts to maintain high availability and reliability of critical services, defining and monitoring SLIs, SLOs, and SLAs, proactively identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks, and establishing incident management processes and on-call rotations. You will also develop and implement automated solutions, enhance system observability through metrics and logging tools, optimize CI/CD pipelines, collaborate with software engineering teams, design scalable systems, and ensure seamless integration of monitoring and alerting systems. As a leader, you will manage, mentor, and grow a team of SREs, promote best practices, foster a culture of reliability and performance, drive performance reviews and skills development, and implement capacity planning and autoscaling solutions. Your technical expertise should include experience with cloud platforms, Kubernetes, infrastructure-as-code tools, Java, distributed systems, databases, load balancing, monitoring tools, automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and incident management. Preferred qualifications for this role include experience with database optimization, messaging systems, autoscaling techniques, previous leadership roles in SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering, and understanding of compliance and security best practices.
