Lead - Quant Model Validator

You will be responsible for executing model validation activities, such as validation, annual review, ongoing monitoring, findings management, and model use approvals for low- and moderate-risk models. Additionally, you may assist in testing and validation of higher risk models, review the conceptual soundness of models, and assess limitations and suitability for use. It is essential to have knowledge in one or more key model areas including Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning, Statistical and Stochastic processes, or Insurance and Actuarial Modeling. Your key responsibilities will include conducting finding closures, annual reviews of low-, moderate-, and high-risk models. You will be responsible for conducting model change and BAU validations for models falling under these risk categories. Collaborating with model owners and developers to promote best practices, resolve queries, and support in administrative activities like planning book of work, ad hoc reviews, and peer coaching will also be part of your role. Furthermore, you will assist in maintaining model governance policies and procedures, templates, and risk reporting, and provide level 2 technical support to the business. To qualify for this position, you should have a minimum of 3 years of experience with a master's degree or 1-2 years with a Ph.D., specifically in model risk management within the banking or insurance sector.
