Joining the Design System team at Tide, we are currently looking for a talented UX Designer/Product Designer to become an integral part of a small, dynamic team under the guidance of the Design Systems Lead. Leveraging your expertise in interaction design, visual design, and prototyping, you will spearhead initiatives focused on enhancing the overall user experience for Tide members and optimizing the development processes for our product teams. Your role will involve ensuring design excellence across various aspects of UI, illustration, motion, and more. As a Design System Designer at Tide, your responsibilities will include: - Developing and managing library components primarily within Figma and maintaining our documentation website - Establishing design standards and principles to support the scalability, efficiency, and consistency of the design system - Collaborating with product designers to provide feedback on usage, conventions, and patterns, as well as assisting in creating new components and promoting best practices - Supporting development teams in ensuring that components are implemented according to design and interaction specifications - Working closely with brand teams to align the design system with the brand vision - Enhancing the usability and accessibility of components, advocating for user-centric design - Participating in user research activities as needed and contributing fresh ideas to elevate design standards To be considered for this role, we are looking for candidates who possess the following qualifications: - Minimum of 5 years of experience working in Product teams with a specialization in Design Systems - Demonstrated portfolio showcasing design systems you have developed or significantly contributed to, with at least 2 years of experience in design system projects - Proficiency in designing for various platforms such as Web, iOS, Android, etc. - Strong skills in Figma and a keen eye for visual design and brand craftsmanship - Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within an organization, emphasizing documentation and knowledge sharing - Commitment to creating inclusive and accessible products, with a solid understanding of accessibility design principles - Capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, diverse environment - Comfortable engaging with virtual teams across different time zones and regions - Open to giving and receiving feedback, with a strong focus on continuous improvement - Enthusiastic about staying updated on technology and design trends, showing a proactive approach to learning and development In return for your contributions, Tide offers the following benefits: - Competitive salary package - Health insurance coverage for you and your family - Life and term insurance - Outpatient benefits - Mental well-being support through Plumm - Learning and development budget - Work from home setup allowance - Stock options Join us at Tide, where we value diversity and inclusivity, fostering a culture of transparency and open communication where every voice is respected.
