Our product development process involves collaboration among different engineering groups, starting from product requirements, mechanical and electronics systems, mobile and cloud integrations, to rigorous validation before market release. As a Lead Engineer - Mechanical at Allegion India, you will spearhead the mechanical product and platform development to deliver cutting-edge solutions that cater to diverse global business requirements. Your responsibilities will include acting as a project delivery lead, technical lead for the Mechanical team, and working closely with global engineering stakeholders throughout the product development phases. You will create an engaging work environment that promotes Employee Engagement and encourages Employee Growth and Development. Setting individual and team goals aligned with organizational objectives and monitoring progress through regular performance feedback sessions will be crucial. Ensuring that engineering solutions meet cost, time, and quality requirements, acting as an escalation point for issue resolution, and fostering collaboration across teams are key aspects of this role. To excel in this position, you should possess experience in leading engineering teams, project management expertise, and a thorough understanding of the Mechanical Product Development Lifecycle. Effective communication, collaboration, networking, and the ability to work within a team environment are essential qualities we seek. Your proficiency in electronic / electromechanical product development, 3D CAD software, DFMEA, DVP&R, GD&T, and other relevant tools will be beneficial. Ideally, you should have 13-18 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Product Design & Development, proficiency in tools like CREO and SOLIDWORKS, knowledge of DFM, DFA, DFT techniques, and PLM tools like Windchill. A background in Engineering Change Management processes and a degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech / M.Tech) are preferred qualifications.
