Lead Java Guidewire Developer

You are RSK IT Solutions, and you are seeking a Lead Java Developer with experience in Guidewire or P&C. This position is fully remote and requires working day shifts on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate should have a mid-to-high level of experience, with a minimum of 7 years, and a background in Auto Insurance is mandatory. As a Senior Developer, you will collaborate with the team to develop and maintain the Guidewire platform to meet business requirements. Your responsibilities will include software design, architecture, and development for moderate to complex business solutions. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance and leadership for Guidewire implementation and maintenance activities. Your role involves analyzing system problems and Guidewire features to recommend effective resolutions and improvements in system performance and efficiency. To excel in this role, you should have a degree in computer science or software engineering and knowledge or experience with Guidewire Insurance Now application. You must demonstrate senior-level technical proficiency in application development, including databases, desktop and web applications, and data integration projects. Strong programming skills in JAVA, MySQL, XML, and HTML are essential. Being self-directed, accountable for results, and having a strong understanding of company operations and IT applications in the insurance industry are key requirements. Your responsibilities will include analyzing system specifications, designing and developing software solutions, and providing documentation for design decisions and performance metrics. You will collaborate with others to ensure software development meets standards for programming, design, performance, quality, and security. Furthermore, you will contribute to testing, development walkthroughs, and identifying areas for improvement in planning, design, development, and testing. Your role will also involve participating in the development of recommendations for future enhancements.
