Description
UST is seeking a Lead Software Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and Hibernate to design, develop, and optimize enterprise applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in Java API integrations, database platforms (DB2, Sybase, MSSQL Server), and cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP) . This role requires leadership in Agile development , unit testing, and cross-team collaboration. Responsibilities: Lead the development of applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture . Design and develop RESTful APIs and integrate Java-based solutions. Work with DB2, Sybase, and MSSQL Server for data management and optimization. Write unit test cases to ensure code reliability and maintainability. Implement best practices in Agile development , including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for application enhancements and performance improvements. Utilize cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) for deployment and scalability. Guide and mentor junior developers to ensure best coding practices. Must-Have Skills: 5 to 12 years of experience in Java development . Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Microservices . Proficiency in RESTful API development and Java API integration . Experience with DB2, Sybase, or MSSQL Server . Hands-on experience in Agile development lifecycle . Strong understanding of unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, etc. ). Experience in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) . At least 3 years of experience in a development project . Excellent communication and leadership skills . Good-to-Have Skills: Experience with Kafka . Exposure to DevOps practices .
