Role Overview: As a Product Engineering Lead, you will leverage your technical expertise to select appropriate technical options for development with some guidance. You will understand complex product requirements based on the customer discovery process and ensure that product requirements and user stories are clearly understood. Additionally, you will create effort estimations and adhere to timelines/SLAs wherever applicable. You will also enable solutioning for complex technology problems, write code for critical modules, develop complex features, and unit test cases. Your role will involve ensuring the execution of test cases, preparation of release documents, adherence to best practices and standards, and providing periodic status updates. Furthermore, you will focus on mentoring and grooming Product Engineers for career progression and participate in hiring the right candidates for the Product Engineering Lead role. Your influence will be key in improving customer satisfaction and setting OKRs for your team while providing feedback on their goals. Key Responsibilities: - Understand critical and complex product requirements - Create low-level design documents based on high-level design understanding - Develop POCs to identify feasibility of new technologies/products - Provide technical inputs for product research, design analysis, testing process improvement, and troubleshooting - Build optimized modules for performance without affecting functionality - Contribute to high-level software design documents - Resolve challenging programming and design problems - Drive architecture/code reviews and eliminate implementation problems early in the development cycle - Establish design standards to meet product's requirements - Provide technical guidance to resolve complex technical issues - Conduct integration testing and resolve defects/bugs - Maintain code quality and ensure code coverage - Participate in conferences, seminars, webinars, and create knowledge assets - Train and mentor team members in product development - Build positive working relationships with clients' module leads Qualifications Required: - Domain/Industry Knowledge to understand and interact with subject matter experts - Product Features/Functionality knowledge to build training materials and assessments - User Experience Knowledge to improve product usability - Proficiency in object-oriented analysis, software design principles, and patterns - Knowledge of application development lifecycle, Agile, and XP - Familiarity with Config/Build/Deploy processes and tools - Understanding of IAAS - Cloud providers and their tool sets - Comprehension of Quality Assurance processes and automation tools - Knowledge of Build Branching/Merging, containerization, and technology trends - Hands-on experience with SP3D, Smart Sketch, and AutoCAD for electrical modeling and drafting - Strong 2D extraction techniques for high-quality electrical drawings - Ability to conduct site inspections, ensure compliance, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams Company Details: If any additional details about the company are provided in the job description, they would be included here.
