Lead I - Data Engineering - Azure Databricks Architect

As an Azure Databricks Architect at UST, you will be responsible for designing and implementing cloud-native solutions on Microsoft Azure. Your role will involve leading and implementing Azure infrastructure projects, architecting cloud-native solutions using Azure, Databricks, PySpark, Python, and AKS, and collaborating with different teams to ensure alignment with business and technical requirements. Additionally, you will be migrating application services to the cloud, building Proof of Concepts (PoCs), providing architectural leadership, and ensuring security principles are integrated into solution designs. Your key responsibilities will include: - Leading and implementing Azure infrastructure projects for designing secure, scalable cloud environments - Architecting and delivering cloud-native solutions using Azure, Databricks, PySpark, Python, and AKS - Collaborating with various teams to ensure infrastructure alignment with business and technical requirements - Migrating application services from on-premise to cloud using manual and automated approaches - Adapting and transforming client teams" on-premise infrastructure practices for the cloud - Building and delivering Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to demonstrate solutions and validate architecture decisions - Providing architectural leadership and guidance on Azure solutions (PaaS, SaaS, IaaS) - Developing and maintaining technical roadmaps for future Azure implementations and enhancements - Acting as a subject matter expert in Azure cloud strategy and implementation Qualifications and Skills required for this role: - 6 to 10 years of total experience with at least 2+ years as an Azure Cloud Solutions Architect - Strong hands-on experience with Azure Stack, Databricks, PySpark, AKS, and Python - In-depth understanding of cloud-native architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and PaaS tools - Proven experience in architecting complex Azure public/private cloud platform solutions - Background in modern architecture patterns like event-driven systems, stream processing, CQRS, and event storming - Experience in .NET and SQL Server-based enterprise web applications - API design and implementation experience with a focus on security practices - Experience deploying and managing large-scale cloud infrastructure in enterprise environments - Strong client engagement, communication, and stakeholder management skills - Passion for technology innovation and continuous improvement in cloud-based solutions Please note that as an Azure Databricks Architect at UST, you will be required to work in a hybrid work model from Bengaluru, including willingness to work in a 2nd shift to collaborate with global teams.
