The role requires precision, technical skills, and adherence to quality processes to ensure production targets are met with high standards of workmanship. Key Responsibilities Assemble automobile parts, subassemblies, and systems (e.g., engine, chassis, body, electrical components) according to work instructions, technical drawings, and standard operating procedures. Use hand tools, power tools, and machinery for assembling and fitting parts. Inspect and test assembled components to ensure proper alignment, functionality, and quality compliance. Identify and report defects, malfunctions, or deviations from specifications. Perform basic troubleshooting and rework on defective assemblies. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with 5S and safety standards. Follow lean manufacturing practices and support continuous improvement initiatives. Meet daily/weekly production targets while ensuring accuracy and consistency. Collaborate with quality inspectors, engineers, and supervisors for problem-solving and process improvement. Skills & Competencies Knowledge of automobile components, assembly procedures, and mechanical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and work instructions. Hands-on skills in using tools, jigs, fixtures, and machines. Attention to detail and focus on quality. Basic knowledge of safety practices and quality standards (ISO/TS 16949 preferred). Good communication and teamwork skills. Physical stamina and ability to work in a manufacturing environment. Qualifications Education : 10th/ 12th/ITI / Diploma /BE in Mechanical, Automobile, Electrical, or related trade. Experience : 0–3 years of experience in automobile assembly/manufacturing preferred (freshers may also be considered).
