Job Description

You will be joining the Transmission & Distribution team in India as a Lead Engineer - EHV Cables. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on impactful Energy projects across global offices and further enhance your technical expertise in a supportive and high-performing team. Your responsibilities will include: - Serving as a senior technical resource and providing technical advice to the team - Offering specialized technical input for studies and designs within your area of expertise - Developing study and design procedures to ensure high-quality and cost-effective work by the team - Participating in interdisciplinary reviews of project deliverables - Creating construction cost estimates and estimating technical efforts for projects - Utilizing your expertise in all stages of completing the discipline component of PS&E package - Conducting quality control reviews of design calculations or drawings - Preparing technical specification sections - Providing input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet project requirements Qualifications required for this role are: - Minimum of 8 years of work experience - Previous experience in HV Cable OEM design teams for Grid Utilities, specifically in Underground HV Cables design - Familiarity with International standards such as IEC, IEEE, ANSI, Australian Standards, and Middle East region codes and standards - Previous design experience with CYMCAP or similar software tools for EHV/HV AC and DC Cable Ampacity calculations - Chartership with IET-UK or equivalent is desirable - Excellent communication skills (Oral and Written) in English language are mandatory Please note that AECOM promotes a Freedom to Grow philosophy, which supports flexibility and balance to help employees thrive.
