Lead Digital Security Engineer

As the Lead Digital Security Engineer at Americana Restaurants International PLC Centre of Excellence in Mohali, India, you will play a crucial role in designing, deploying, and optimizing security strategies to safeguard our digital assets across cloud environments. With a focus on ensuring the resilience and security of applications, infrastructure, and networks, you will lead by example, mentoring teams and promoting best practices in digital security. Your responsibilities will include defining and implementing security strategies for cloud-hosted digital assets, deploying and managing cloud-native web application firewalls (WAF), monitoring WAF events, developing incident response plans, and collaborating with stakeholders to translate requirements into secure and scalable solutions. Additionally, you will mentor junior team members, monitor systems, optimize configurations, and ensure compliance with security best practices. Your role will also involve evaluating and recommending infrastructure, network, database, and security architectures. To excel in this role, you should have strong hands-on experience with cloud WAF solutions (AWS, Azure, GCP) and application gateways, as well as knowledge of cloud platforms and related security frameworks. Experience with SIEM implementation and PAM solutions, along with strong analytical skills to assess risks, monitor threats, and recommend security enhancements, will be essential. You should also be adept at working closely with cross-functional teams and effectively communicating security concepts. The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 7 years of experience in IT security, with expertise in cloud-native application protection and infrastructure security. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, IT, MCA, or a related field will be required to meet the educational qualifications for this role.
