Lead Developer, Applications Programming - .NET

Job Description As a Lead Developer, Applications Programming at TransUnion, you will be responsible for the feature development of Rental Screening web-based applications. The product is built on the Microsoft technology stack including .NET Core, C#, Angular, Web API, and SQL Server. Your role will involve working on a web-based product with a web/microservice-based backend engine. **Requirements:** - Degree in computer science or equivalent - 10+ years of .Net development using Visual Studio - 4+ years of work experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Angular development - Experience with Database Development (SQL) - Experience with REST Web Services - Experience with ORM tools, Entity Framework, etc. - Experience with AWS - Cloud - Experience with leading engineers through an enterprise Agile development process - Experience with leading team design sessions - Experience with providing architectural direction for the overall team - Experience with leading the team during team planning sessions including PI planning efforts - Experience with leading the team through the technical estimation process **We'd Love To See:** - Experience with DevOps technologies in a cloud environment (AWS preferred) - Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies - Experience with .NET/TFS build automation - Experience with test automation (Coded UI, data-driven web service testing) **Developer Responsibilities:** - **Coding:** Develop code, test, debug, maintain, modify, and install moderately complex software programs with limited direction. Participate in code walkthroughs. - **Analysis/Design:** Analyze technical requirements, make determinations for modifications of existing programs/modules, and independently analyze test results. Partner with designers to update technical requirements documentation. - **Documentation:** Develop program specifications, flowcharts, and prepare internal program documentation. Prepare user guides and operational instruction manuals. - **Communication:** Convey problems, solutions, updates, and project status to peers, customers, and management. Develop and maintain program, systems, and user documentation. - **Planning:** Prepare time estimates for assigned tasks and attend post-implementation reviews. Your success in this position will depend on your outstanding communication skills and your ability to work in a rapidly changing environment requiring cross-department collaboration and evolving goals. Extensive experience in .NET development processes, practices, tools, and environments is a must, along with intimate knowledge of the software development lifecycle processes.
