Lead Data Analyst- Finance Analytics

As a Lead Data Scientist in our Finance Analytics team, you will be responsible for analyzing financial data to derive insights, detect patterns, and recommend automation possibilities within our finance and accounting functions. Your role will involve utilizing your technical expertise in data engineering and advanced analytics to transform raw financial data into valuable insights. You will collaborate closely with finance teams to comprehend their business requirements and deliver analytical solutions effectively. Your key responsibilities will include: - Applying advanced analytics techniques to extract insights from financial data sets - Building and optimizing data pipelines using Python, Spark, and SQL for data preparation - Developing and implementing machine learning models to identify patterns, anomalies, and automation opportunities - Creating interactive dashboards and visualizations using BI tools to communicate key insights - Collaborating with finance teams to translate their data needs into analytical solutions - Identifying and tracking relevant metrics for meaningful business intelligence - Supporting data-driven decision making by presenting clear and actionable findings - Conducting exploratory data analysis to uncover trends and relationships in financial data - Mentoring junior data scientists on analytical techniques and best practices - Implementing statistical analysis methods to validate findings and ensure data quality - Documenting methodologies, processes, and results for reproducibility and knowledge sharing Key Requirements: - 5-7 years of experience in data science or analytics, with exposure to financial or business data - Strong technical background in data engineering and pipeline development - Proficiency in Python, Spark, and SQL for data processing - Experience with Snowflake Data Lake or similar cloud-based data platforms - Demonstrated skill in building dashboards and visualizations using BI tools - Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders - Understanding of basic financial concepts and metrics - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related technical field Desirable Skills and Attributes: - Experience working in cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments - Familiarity with agile methodologies and collaborative development practices - Knowledge of version control systems and collaborative coding - Understanding of cloud computing platforms - Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices - Curiosity and willingness to learn about finance and accounting concepts - Creativity in presenting data insights through effective visualizations - Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with emerging technologies in data science We offer a competitive base salary along with benefits such as Medical Insurance, Group Accidental Coverage/Insurance, Group Term Life Insurance, and various wellness programs.
