Job Description

Position Summary - Reporting to the Deputy Manager - Food Services, this position is responsible for primarily assisting the Kitchen/Bakery/Chef. Position Responsibilities 1. Prepares, cooks and serves many of the routine menus independently. 2. Assists the Chef in co-ordinating the daily work. 3. Scrutinizes daily requirements physically, and informs the Chef for any shortages in raw materials. 4. Oversees that refrigerators, freezers and other storage places are kept hygienic, neat and clean. 5. Allocates minor kitchen jobs to the cooks, assistant cooks and helpers. 6. Sees that all orders going out of the kitchen are properly presentable/serviceable/packed. 7. Oversees proper kitchen functioning, particularly at parties in the absence of the Chef. 8. Performs other duties as assigned.
