Lead Backend Engineer (GoLang)

As a Lead Backend Engineer with over 10 years of experience in progressive software development, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality, scalable, and fault-tolerant backend services using GoLang. Your expertise will be instrumental in leading and coordinating complex projects involving multiple frontend and backend components, ensuring the robustness of web services and APIs in terms of performance, security, and maintainability. Your responsibilities will also include working with MongoDB and other database management systems to facilitate efficient data storage and retrieval. Leveraging Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services for cloud-based application development will be a key aspect of your role, along with implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Concourse to enhance deployment efficiency. Writing clean, testable, and maintainable code following best practices will be essential in maintaining a high standard of engineering excellence. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and understand requirements, and translating them into scalable technical solutions will be a part of your daily routine. To excel in this position, you are required to have 10+ years of progressive experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on GoLang. Additionally, you should possess 5+ years of experience in organizations that prioritize engineering excellence, along with 3+ years of experience leading complex projects involving multiple frontend and backend components. Proven expertise in building scalable, fault-tolerant web services and APIs, hands-on experience with MongoDB and cloud services like Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and familiarity with CI/CD tools like Concourse are essential requirements. A deep understanding of software design principles, system architecture, and best coding practices, coupled with strong problem-solving and analytical skills focused on writing efficient and maintainable code, will be critical for success in this role. Excellent communication skills are necessary to understand requirements and explain complex technical concepts clearly, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
