Job Description

Fi is a new age money management app designed to simplify your financial life. With Fi, you can save, pay, invest, or borrow, all in one place. You can track and analyze your expenses across Fi and all your other bank accounts. You can also apply for a credit card, access instant loans, and grow your wealth and more with our range of investment options.

We are looking for a Lead Backend Engineer who will

-Drive backend development for high-scale, distributed systems using Golang.

-Design, build, and maintain APIs, microservices, and core platform components.

-Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.

-Collaborate with product, frontend, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.

-Mentor junior developers and contribute to architectural decisions.

-Ensure best practices around code quality, testing, CI/CD, and security.

The ideal candidate has

6+ years of software engineering and product delivery experience.
Demonstrated success in software development, having built complex products.
Proficiency in one or more general programming languages (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python, Go), with the ability to quickly learn new coding languages as required.
Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and strong command of object-oriented principles.
Expertise in building scalable and high-performance systems, including caching strategies, load balancing, and optimising database queries.
Possess a unique spark that sets you apart, along with the ability to think creatively and adapt quickly.
Quick learner, capable of acquiring new coding languages efficiently.
Comfortable collaborating in a team that navigates ambiguity on a daily basis.
Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly articulating complex technical concepts.
Possess multi-dimensional skills that contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced work environment.

Selection process: Once we receive your profile we will review the same and get back to shortlisted candidates. The interview process comprises of 2 rounds of Data Structure and Algorithms followed by 2 rounds of System Design and one round of culture fitment.
