Lead Advisor - Model Risk Management

Role Overview: First Citizens India LLP is seeking a Lead Advisor in Model Risk Management (MRM) to ensure that models align with business objectives and design objectives. As the Lead Advisor, you will conduct independent model validations, verify model performance, identify limitations, and assess potential impact. You will be based in Bangalore and report to the Associate Director of Model Risk Management, India. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain model governance documentation and performance monitoring - Support the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of MRM analytics and reporting capabilities - Explore and assess new technologies and tools to optimize MRM processes - Develop tools, visualizations, and dashboards for risk profile insights - Collaborate with cross-functional partners to enhance MRM process and reporting - Drive automation efforts to simplify and streamline MRM processes - Perform end-to-end analysis, data quality reviews, and checks on information within the Archer Model Inventory - Facilitate communication with key business stakeholders and risk owners - Conduct independent control testing on end-user computing tools - Assist MRM Leadership with ad-hoc analysis, projects, presentations, and reporting - Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in model validation and regulatory requirements - Proactively identify and address gaps and emerging risks - Contribute towards remediation efforts for model-related issues identified through exams, audits, and model validations Qualification Required: - Relevant Bachelor/Masters degree, preferably in Statistics, Mathematics, or other quantitative discipline - 5+ years of experience in model development, validation, or implementation within the financial industry - Proficiency in statistical methods and programming languages such as SAS, Python, R, SQL - Knowledge of statistical and machine learning models - Good understanding of model development and validation testing techniques - Knowledge of financial services/banking domain Additional Details: First Citizens India LLP, established in 2018, is a leading destination for financial services, technology, and innovative solutions.
