This role requires a proficient machinist who is also comfortable with regular overseas travel to client sites. Roles and Responsibilities Operate and handle grinding machines with precision. You will be responsible for operating lathe machines (manual or semi-automatic) to perform turning operations on metal components. This includes reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications, as well as measuring and marking raw materials before turning. Your role will also involve selecting appropriate cutting tools, setting machine parameters, and inspecting finished components using measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and gauges. It will be essential to maintain machine cleanliness, report any mechanical issues to the supervisor, and ensure the quality and dimensional accuracy of parts according to customer specifications while adhering to safety standards and company protocols. To qualify for this position, you should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in lathe/turning operations within a machine shop or factory setting. Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, using measuring instruments, and knowledge of cutting speeds, feeds, and metal cutting techniques are required. Additionally, you should be physically fit and able to stand for long hours. Candidates with an ITI or Diploma in Mechanical/Turner Trade will be given preference. Role: Mechanical Engineer Design Type : Full Time Job description - As a Mechanical Design Engineer, candidate is expected to design, conceptualize, and develop innovative products, hardware, electromechanical robotics systems. - Strong knowledge of any one of the mechanical design software (Solid works, CATIA, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, etc.) - Provide engineering support for design, development or optimization of products, processes, tooling and/or equipment by collaborating with the necessary stakeholders. - Lead design reviews with cross functional team to ensure the design meets the product requirements for safety, reliability, and manufacturability. - Prepare necessary component /assembly drawings by following ASME guidelines and assist in release of the same. - Liaising with engineers, other professionals, as well as clients to ensure quality projects are completed to specifications. - Ensuring all equipment and products meet health and safety regulations. - Convert 2D drawings or conceptual sketches into 3D CAD model. - Incorporate required regulatory standards (FDA, ISO) in developmental and/or sustaining engineering projects including written protocols, test methods, assembly processes and the design history file. - In-depth experience in CAD tools such as AutoCAD/Pro-E Creo/Solid works/ Fusion 360 is expected. - Expertise in Robust Modeling and Detailing practices following the ASME guidelines. - Strong Knowledge and application of GD&T including Tolerance stack-up analysis. - Strong knowledge of metal manufacturing processes. Knowledge of 3D printing and additive manufacturing technologies is an add-on. - Strong knowledge of Engineering fundamentals and application of same during concept generation or re-design of products. - Experience of prototyping designs using 3D printing or ability to learn the same. - Experience in field work -- lathe machines, CNC, 3D printing, laser cutting. - Able to effectively work with cross functional teams. - Fabrication experience will be an added advantage. - Superior written and verbal communication skills. - Good attitude and team player.
