Key Responsibilities: Machine Setup and Operation: Setting up the lathe machine, selecting appropriate tools and materials, and operating the machine to perform tasks like turning, boring, threading, and facing. Blueprint Reading: Interpreting technical drawings and blueprints to understand the required dimensions and specifications for each part. Material Handling: Loading and unloading materials, and transferring finished parts from the machine to designated areas. Quality Control: Inspecting finished parts for accuracy and quality, using various measuring tools, and making necessary adjustments to the machine. Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Performing routine maintenance on the lathe, troubleshooting any issues that arise during operation, and potentially performing minor repairs. Safety and Cleanliness: Following safety procedures, maintaining a clean work area, and adhering to company policies and procedures. Documentation: Recording production data and maintaining relevant records. Collaboration: Working with engineers and other team members to ensure efficient and accurate production.
