As a data thought partner, you will collaborate with product and business leaders in marketplace teams by providing insights, recommendations, and facilitating data-informed decisions. Your responsibilities will include driving product analytics on a daily basis, developing scalable data tools, and leveraging Airbnb's advanced machine learning infrastructure to collaborate with a diverse team to achieve common goals. Your typical day will involve managing projects from initiation to completion, coordinating with product managers to design and evaluate A/B tests, building trust within the team by creating high-quality data sets and dashboards, and collaborating with various teams to enhance data tools for widespread use within Airbnb. To excel in this role, you should have at least 5 years of industry experience and hold an advanced degree in Business Analytics or a related quantitative field. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, along with a proven track record of delivering data projects with tangible business impacts. Proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, Python, and knowledge of data foundations and databases like Presto, Hive, Teradata, Spark are required. Additionally, expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning models, BI tools like Tableau, and familiarity with travel industry or financial risk & fraud prevention domain are advantageous. A positive and solution-oriented mindset, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
