You will be responsible for programming and operating laser cutting machines for both sheet and pipe materials. Your main duty will be to utilize Alpha CypCut software for generating and modifying cutting programs. It will also be essential for you to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately. Furthermore, you will need to optimize cutting paths to minimize material waste and enhance efficiency. Setting up machines and conducting test runs to ensure setup and programming accuracy will fall under your purview. You will also be expected to troubleshoot programming and machine issues during production. Additionally, you will collaborate with design and production teams to ensure timely job completion. It will be vital for you to maintain records of programs and settings for repeat jobs to streamline processes and maintain consistency in quality output. The ideal candidate for this position should possess hands-on experience working with Alpha CypCut software and have a solid understanding of sheet and pipe laser cutting operations. Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Laser Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The Laser Programmer is responsible for programming and operating laser cutting machines to produce precision metal parts and components. The ideal candidate will have experience with CAD/CAM software, a solid understanding of sheet metal fabrication, and a keen eye for detail and accuracy. Key Responsibilities: Program laser cutting machines (e.g., Trumpf, Amada, Jiatai) using CAD/CAM software (such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Import, interpret, and modify customer-supplied drawings and DXF files. Optimize cutting paths and nesting layouts for material efficiency and machine productivity. Set up and operate CNC laser cutting equipment when necessary. Monitor production to ensure parts meet quality and dimensional specifications. Troubleshoot machine or programming issues to ensure minimal downtime. Maintain accurate documentation and production records. Collaborate with engineers, production staff, and quality control to ensure efficient workflow. Perform preventive maintenance on machines and maintain a clean, organized work area. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and company policies.
