Laser Machine Operator

We are looking for a Laser Machine Operator skilled technician responsible for operating and maintaining laser cutting, engraving, or marking machines to produce precision components, products, or designs. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality. The Laser Machine Operator reports to the Production Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager and works closely with the production team.

Required Skills:

• Previous experience as a Laser Machine Operator or in a similar CNC machining role is highly desirable.

• Familiarity with various materials and their behavior during laser cutting, engraving, or marking processes.

• Basic understanding of laser optics, focusing techniques, and gas systems.

• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in a laser manufacturing environment.

• Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift materials, and perform manual tasks.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.

Role & Responsibilities

• Prepare laser machines for production by loading materials, selecting appropriate cutting or engraving parameters, and ensuring proper alignment of materials within the machine.

• Operate laser machines to perform cutting, engraving, or marking processes on materials such as metal, wood, plastic, glass, and other substrates.

• Perform routine maintenance tasks on laser machines, such as cleaning optics, checking gas levels, and replacing worn or damaged components. Troubleshoot and diagnose minor machine issues to minimize downtime.

• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while operating the machinery and working with potentially hazardous laser beams and materials. Ensure the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and any adjustments made to programs or processes. Document maintenance tasks performed and any issues encountered.

• Communicate with design teams, engineers, and other team members to discuss project requirements, troubleshoot design issues, and ensure effective communication throughout the production process.
