Job Description Supervise and coordinate daily fabrication operations including cutting, bending, welding, and assembly of sheet metal components for DG sets. Ensure proper implementation of MIG and TIG welding techniques with emphasis on quality and safety. Oversee operations of laser cutting machines and CNC bending machines , and ensure machine settings and programs are optimized for productivity and accuracy. Monitor and maintain standards in surface preparation , shot blasting , and industrial painting processes (powder coating and wet paint). Ensure fabricated components meet design specifications, tolerances, and surface finish requirements. Work closely with design and quality teams to resolve fabrication-related issues and implement corrective actions. Support new product development by assisting in prototype fabrication and process improvement. Maintain compliance with safety protocols, welding standards, and company procedures. Prepare and maintain fabrication process documentation, daily reports, and manpower utilization records. Train operators and welders to improve skills and ensure adherence to quality standards. Required Skills and Qualifications: Diploma / B.Tech in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering . Minimum of 5 years experience in sheet metal fabrication in a manufacturing environment (preferably in DG Set, automotive, or heavy engineering industries). Proven expertise in: MIG & TIG welding Laser cutting and CNC bending Painting processes (powder coating, liquid painting) Shot blasting Strong knowledge of fabrication standards, GD&T, and mechanical drawings. Familiar with quality inspection tools, weld testing, and fabrication defect analysis. Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD or SolidWorks (basic), and production reporting tools. Strong team leadership, communication, and time management skills. Preferred Attributes: Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Kaizen practices. Experience in DG set manufacturing or heavy fabrication industry will be a strong advantage. Ability to manage third-party vendors or contract labor involved in fabrication.

This role is crucial for creating intricate and precise sheet metal designs for various mechanical components and assemblies. Your primary responsibilities will include utilizing Creo to develop complex 3D models of sheet metal parts, including enclosures, brackets, chassis, and panels. You will be proficient in creating flat patterns, managing bend allowances, and designing features suitable for common sheet metal fabrication processes such as laser cutting, punching, forming, and welding. This position requires a deep understanding of sheet metal manufacturing techniques to ensure designs are optimized for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and assembly. You will collaborate closely with manufacturing engineers, structural analysts, and assembly teams to ensure seamless integration of sheet metal components into overall product designs. Role & Responsibilities: Create print-ready artwork for sublimation printing and textile applications. Operate and maintain Mimaki digital printers (sublimation/eco-solvent). Set up design files for precise laser cutting and contour cuts. Calibrate CMYK settings and color profiles to ensure output accuracy. Collaborate with production teams to finalize artwork and samples. Troubleshoot printing errors and perform daily printer maintenance. Preferred Candidate Profile: 2 to 5 years of experience in digital textile printing or DTP operations. Proficiency in CorelDRAW, Illustrator, Photoshop. Strong understanding of sublimation workflows and color management. Experience handling fabric and heat transfer printing. Familiarity with Mimaki RIP software (RasterLink) preferred. Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to multitask.
