The employer is a boutique investment management firm that was founded 5 years ago by veterans with extensive experience in institutional brokerage houses. The firm's mission is to assist clients in creating and safeguarding their wealth through equity investments in the most optimal manner. Specializing in Indian equity investments for High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs), Family Offices, Institutions, and their own capital, the firm covers various strategies, market capitalizations, and sectors. Currently, they manage an Asset Under Management (AUM) of over INR 11000 Cr. As a candidate, you are expected to have 6-8 years of experience in equity research, both on the buy side and sell side. Experience in handling Small/Mid/Large Cap sectors is essential. A passion for investing in equity markets with a proactive approach, an eye for detail, and a combination of top-down and bottom-up approaches to investing are key qualities sought. You should be capable of conducting industry analysis to comprehend competitive forces, industry dynamics, etc. Additionally, you should be adept at performing company analysis, including financial modeling, tracking quarterly/annual results, participating in earnings conference calls, and conducting in-depth analyses of annual reports. Your responsibilities will include generating an ideation funnel for new investment ideas within the company's investment framework. This will involve interacting with industry/sector experts, conducting channel checks, engaging with sell-side analysts, and liaising with company managements. Furthermore, you will play a crucial role in enabling the Investment Committee in making decisions regarding investee companies and new investment ideas.
