As a Senior Technical Specialist, you will be responsible for providing expert-level technical support for Nokia 1830 PSS (OTN) products to ensure optimal network performance and customer satisfaction. Your role will involve diagnosing and resolving complex customer issues remotely, collaborating with global technical teams, and participating in 24x7 on-call support when necessary. You will play a key role in troubleshooting, reproducing issues in lab environments, leading root cause analysis, and contributing to system testing and performance enhancements. Your extensive knowledge of DWDM, OTN, GMPLS, and ASON will enable you to drive technical leadership, mentor junior team members, and enhance the overall customer experience. The telecommunications industry is constantly evolving, and your role will require strong analytical skills, adaptability, and a proactive mindset to continuously improve network solutions. In this position, you will share initial ideas for the professional direction of your organizational unit, act as a professional advisor and mentor for staff/work teams/taskforces, and may lead technical projects with manageable risks and resource requirements or small teams. You will provide working leadership and training to less experienced personnel, deliver advanced system troubleshooting methods, identify, reproduce, and characterize defects, collaborate with R&D teams, lead root cause analysis, and support technical activities in early product phases such as releases, pilots, trials, and early projects. Key Skills And Experience: **Required:** - Bachelor's degree - 1-2 years of experience - 1-2 years of experience on EoSDH and basic LAN/WAN/Networking - Establish support channels with global TSC teams, Optics L3 TEC, Services PLM - Think "out of the box" for potential improvement initiatives to meet future technical and customer-related requirements - Excellent knowledge of DWDM, OTN, and GMPLS **Desired:** - Technical support experience for Nokia 1830 PSS (OTN) products - Diagnosing and solving customer problems remotely - Reproducing system test specifications, performance test specifications, test plans, and other documentation as product recommendations - Reproduction of customer problems in a lab environment About The Team: Nokia's Network Infrastructure group plays a crucial role in revolutionizing global network capacity through ambition, innovation, and technical expertise.
