As a Senior Landscape Architect at Palasa, a renowned garden and home decor company based in Bangalore and Hyderabad, you will play a pivotal role in leading design projects from inception to execution. You will collaborate closely with clients, internal teams, and production units to create elegant and functional landscapes that embody Palasa's unique design sensibility and craftsmanship. Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing landscape design projects spanning residential, retail, commercial, and hospitality sectors. Working in collaboration with clients, you will translate their vision and preferences into conceptualized planter layouts, styles, and placements that harmonize with site context and aesthetics. Your expertise will be crucial in selecting appropriate planter materials, sizes, finishes, and plant species to bring these designs to life. Furthermore, you will liaise with in-house designers, 3D artists, and the production team to refine and finalize designs that align with Palasa's brand identity and sustainability values. Your role will extend to supervising the installation process to ensure seamless execution while upholding design integrity. Additionally, you will take on a mentorship role by guiding junior landscape designers, reviewing their work, and fostering their professional growth. The ideal candidate for this position is a creative problem-solver with a discerning eye for aesthetics and a robust technical understanding. You should thrive in collaborative environments, possess strong organizational skills, and demonstrate adeptness in leading teams through various project stages. A genuine passion for plants, materials, spatial design, and the transformative power of landscaping is essential to excel in this role. Qualifications for this role include a Bachelors or Masters degree in Landscape Architecture or Architecture, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, including at least 1 year in a senior or lead capacity. Proficiency in tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and landscape rendering software is expected, as is hands-on experience in project management and on-site coordination. A robust portfolio showcasing prior landscape projects, particularly those involving planter-based or urban landscape installations, will be a significant asset.
